Varun is a double major in engineering physics and international relations at Stanford University where he serves as the chair of the Undergraduate Senate. His academic interests include energy policy, international strategic interaction, and solid-state physics. He has researched dye-sensitized solar cells in Germany, worked on thin film photovoltaics at Nanosolar, Inc, and will pursue an honors thesis in the security implications of renewable energy. He enjoys modeling, singing a cappella, and dancing for Stanford Bhangra.
